Description

Combining the spatial information from epicardial ultrasound imaging and quantitative data from TTFM enables the surgeon to perform a prompt and accurate assessment, and revise the graft when necessary.

The Medistim MiraQâ„¢ Cardiac combines ultrasound imaging and transit time flow measurement (TTFM) in a single system that is specifically designed for cardiac surgery.

There is growing support of the idea that checking grafts and anastomoses during cardiac surgery should be the standard of care. Reliability and ease of use a major determinants for this to become a reality.

The MiraQ™ Cardiac system has built-in support for Guided Workflows. These are software protocols that assist the user to a standardized approach to quality assessment. Intraoperative quality assessment has become easier to adopt, customizable to the surgeon’s needs, and enhancing work efficiency.

Epicardial imaging

Epicardial ultrasound imaging gives a simple, fast and safe imaging of coronary stenoses and graft anastomoses, providing immediate feedback on the quality of the CABG surgery.

Transit Time Flow Measurement

Performing flow measurements with the MiraQâ„¢ Cardiac is the quickest and most accurate way to verify graft patency while the patient is still in the operating room.

Epiaortic imaging

Epiaortic imaging provides a sensitive, direct diagnosis of aortic disease. This may lead to modifications of the surgical strategy and thus contribute towards reduced rates of major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) following surgery.

Combining imaging and flow for better quality assessment

The MiraQ™ Cardiac system uses Medistim’s flow measurement and high-resolution ultrasound Imaging probes to provide a complete quality assessment.

Medistim’s L15 High-frequency ultrasound Imaging probe provides high-resolution images that allows the surgeon to assess morphology. Medistim’s flow probes utilize transit time technology to accurately measure blood volume flow intraoperatively.

Combining the spatial information from epicardial ultrasound imaging and quantitative data from TTFM enables the surgeon to perform a prompt and accurate assessment, and revise the graft when necessary.

Medistim is committed to continuously improving our products for the benefit of our customers and their patients. With a wide variety of sterilization and cleaning options, this improved version of the steam autoclavable QuickFitâ„¢ TTFM probes is more user-friendly than ever. The new design is more robust, yet we have preserved all of the details that make it one of our most popular probes.

Medistim’s QuickFit™ flow probes utilize reliable transit time technology to accurately measure blood volume flow intraoperatively in various applications, from cardiac and vascular, to transplant surgery.

Used together with Medistim’s systems, they instantaneously provide fast, accurate, and reproducible information to the surgeon.

Having functional information about the graft is the key to verifying graft patency and function.

The ultimate benefit is quality assurance with immediate feedback that leads to improved surgical outcomes.

Medistim’s Vascular probes utilize reliable transit time flow measurement (TTFM) technology to accurately measure volumetric blood flow intraoperatively in various applications. Used together with Medistim’s systems, they instantaneously provide fast, accurate, and reproducible information to the surgeon. Having functional information about the graft is the key to verifying graft patency and function. With graft patency being the predominant predictor of long-term survival after vascular surgery, surgeons can ensure improved patient outcomes.

The ultimate benefit is quality assurance with immediate feedback that leads to improved surgical outcomes.

To minimize manipulation of fragile vessels, the Medistim Vascular TTFM probes are designed with a locking slide. This secures the vessel inside the measurement area without fear of dislodging plaque or damaging the vessel. With a wide range of probe sizes it is possible to measure all grafts normally used in vascular surgery. Probes are available with or without handles to accommodate a variety of surgical procedures. Medistim Vascular TTFM probes are designed to meet worldwide sterilization standards and are approved for most commercial sterilization methods and technologies. Vascular probes are guaranteed for 50 sterilization cycles
